Nurses HITH Interest Group

WHO WE ARE

In mid 2008 NHIG evolved from a local NSW nurses network
to one that encompasses nurses across Australasia and includes
any registered or enrolled (Division 1 or 2) nurse working within the
hospital in the home setting who is a member of the HITH Society
(Australasia). To join, tick the Nurses Interest Group on the HITH
Society membership application form or contact NHIG below.

The aims of NHIG are firstly to provide a setting where professional
support, education, sharing and networking can occur among
nursing staff employed in HITH care with a view to ensuring a high
standard of care for our clients and their carers and to positively
impact on the work satisfaction of HITH nursing staff.

Education
The NHIG is in the early stages of planning education for its

  • Future local ‘meet the expert’ sessions to be recorded so
that up-to-date information accessible to all members.
  • Use of the HITH Society website as a repository for
    presentations relating to HITH.

host nursing specific workshops prior to the conference.
