Dr Ria Myung Seo Ko, Infectious Diseases Physician with Emergency-HITH at Sydney Local Health District, presented the eHITH model of care and its application in acute community-based management of older patients. The presentation outlined the rationale for developing the service, its integration with Emergency Departments and community teams, and the role of point-of-care testing in enabling timely diagnosis and intervention at home. Dr Ko discussed outcomes to date, operational challenges, and future directions, and illustrated the model’s impact through clinical case examples.
